What a difference a year makes!
Baby Rhett, who isn’t much of a baby anymore is about to turn one! It’s hard to believe, the year has flown by and I’m so happy to be able to capture him many times throughout his first year. Is your child America’s Cutest Kid?
Kristen Joy Photography is participating in the National Charity Model Search to select “America’s Cutest Kid” and to raise funds for charity.
Who can enter:
Children ages 18 months to 14 years old.
Models Search Special:
$50 entrance fee, which includes a 60 minute model session and one image submitted to the national gallery and one 8×10 of the same image for you to keep. A 25% discount will be given on any prints/digital files ordered from this session.
Finalists will be determined by online votes. Anyone may vote. Each vote is $1, and all proceeds from votes benefit the non-profit Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. (NILMDTS.org)
Grand prize national winner will be determined from the 50 city finalists. Winners selected by photography and modeling industry experts.
If your child is selected the national winner, you’ll receive many prizes, including a $5,000 US Savings Bond and a Canon PowerShot G10 digital camera.
Entries must be submitted to the contest before March 25, 2009. Due to the time it takes to edit the photos, I won’t be taking any sessions on after March 15, 2009.

Photobook sample!
I’m so excited to show this sample off! I’m planning on getting more samples soon, but for now, here is what I’ve got. This particular book was designed from a template I had bought a while back. I had so much fun doing it though, I’d like to try and design my own and maybe even sell them to other photographers someday! Anyway, this book is 10″x10″ with a leather cover, comes in this color blue, pink, lavender, red, teal, hydrangea(blue), kiwi(green), camel, red, chocolate, espresso, black and white. This book has 10 pages/20 sides and can be customized to your liking!

I took some maternity photos on Sunday and I’ve been so busy I haven’t had a chance to look at them until now. I put together a few photos for a sneak peek. I had a lot of fun doing these and I can’t wait to sit down and do the finishing touches on these!

Baby Rhett again!
I’m a little behind on sharing my recent sessions, I’m wanting to start doing sneak peeks, so I wanted to show off some of my recent sessions to catch up. Here is baby Rhett, who won’t be a baby much longer! I took these back at the end of Nov. Isn’t he just the best for the camera? I love it!

And the winner is….
I’m not quite sure how to announce the winner of my Giving is Awesome give-away. I only received two entries and both have a great need to have portraits taken of their families which otherwise wouldn’t be a possibility for them. I chose Lynn, for the $1,000 gift and Carmen I chose to give a $500 gift. I appreciate everyone for coming to my blog and seeing if they knew of anyone in need of such a gift.
